Terms of Service

These Terms govern your use of DreamSync (“DreamSync”, “we”), operated by Dreamscape. By signing in to the dashboard, inviting the Discord bot, or calling the API, you agree to these Terms on behalf of yourself and, where applicable, the Discord server you administer.

1. Eligibility

You must have legal capacity to enter into a contract in your jurisdiction, a valid Discord account in good standing with Discord’s Terms of Service, and a valid Roblox account when linking one.

2. Accounts

You are responsible for safeguarding your credentials, API keys, and the actions taken under them. If you believe a credential has been compromised, revoke it immediately in the dashboard and notify us.

3. Server administration

Configuration actions taken from the dashboard apply to the Discord server you selected. We require that you have the Manage Server permission and/or explicit delegation from a server owner before making changes on behalf of that server.

4. Subscriptions and billing

  • Plans are billed per Discord server, not per user. Subscriptions auto-renew monthly until canceled through the Stripe Customer Portal.
  • Paid configuration stored in DreamSync remains in our database after cancellation but stops evaluating. We do not delete paid configuration as part of a downgrade.
  • We offer prorated refunds only where required by local consumer law. Otherwise all sales are final once a renewal charge completes.
  • We may change pricing with at least 30 days’ notice via the dashboard and email if available.

5. API acceptable use

  • Keys are scoped to a single Discord server. You must not use a key to access data about a different server, and you must not knowingly aggregate data across servers except via scopes explicitly granted that capability.
  • DreamSync is not a link mirror. You must not use the API to construct or maintain an external database of Discord↔Roblox associations. Response data may be retained for no more than 30 days after last verification unless the user re-verifies.
  • Rate limits are published in the documentation. Repeated saturation, broad enumeration of identifiers, or traffic patterns indicative of scraping are grounds for immediate key revocation and account suspension.
  • You must not bypass authentication, scope checks, or quota enforcement, or probe DreamSync infrastructure except via our published security.txt process.

6. Moderation features

Roblox bans created through DreamSync are a record in our database; they do not invoke Roblox’s own moderation system. If enforceDiscord is enabled, we will also ban the linked Discord account on your behalf using the bot’s permissions in your server. You are responsible for the lawfulness and accuracy of any moderation action you trigger.

7. Content and data

You retain all rights to configuration you store with DreamSync. You grant DreamSync a worldwide, non-exclusive license to process that configuration for the sole purpose of operating the service on your behalf.

8. Availability

DreamSync is provided on a best-effort basis. We do not guarantee uptime, and third-party outages (Discord, Roblox, Stripe) may affect availability. We will make reasonable effort to communicate significant incidents via the dashboard and status page.

9. Termination

You may terminate your account at any time at /account/delete. We may terminate or suspend accounts that violate these Terms, that abuse the API, or that present a security or legal risk to DreamSync or its users. In case of abuse, we may terminate without prior notice.

10. Disclaimers

DreamSync is provided “as is”. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

11. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, DreamSync’s aggregate liability for any claim arising out of these Terms is limited to the greater of (a) the amount paid by you to DreamSync for the server in question in the twelve months preceding the event or (b) fifty United States dollars. DreamSync is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages.

12. Indemnity

You will indemnify and hold harmless DreamSync, Dreamscape, and their affiliates against any claim arising out of your use of the service, your configuration, or your violation of these Terms.

13. Changes

We may update these Terms. Material changes will be surfaced in the dashboard. Your continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.

14. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Dreamscape is organized, excluding its conflict-of-law rules. Venue lies in the competent courts of that jurisdiction. This clause is updated when Dreamscape finalizes its entity of record.
